The Japanese Wakizashi sword was an auxiliary sword used by the Samurai and worn along side with the Katana, wearing them together is a sign that the person is a Samurai, called Daisho. The Samurai Wakizashi is a backup sword, a great balanced sword that can be wielded either with one or two hands, also can be used in a tight place if a Samurai lost his Katana in the battle. We make matching Wakizashis and Katanas. All our Wakizashis are created for real use, using full tang construction to make a very strong, flexible blade. Make handsome display pieces for your home or office, it is also the best gift for your families and friends.
Battle Ready WakizashiShirasaya Wakizashiits sharp and i love it. it feels like a real katana.

Japanese Swords, Handmade Katana Samurai Swords With Black Scabbard Verified Purchase |
Honestly I was surprised by the quality. It's actually really sturdy and all the rope is snug to the handle and scabbard. The blade is also really nice. I definitely got what I paid for so when you're looking for your sword, just know you are gonna get what you pay for. 300-400 is probably the best range to look for a great budget sword.

Handmade Japanese Samurai Sword Damascus Steel With Red Blade And Scabbard Verified Purchase |
This is an elegant design. I removed all of the fittings and the bolt that retains the blade in the handle. I believe that weapon smiths should legally be bound to sell their weapons unsharpened. Allow the client who purchase the weapon to sharpen it…sharpening infers intent. Intent is a crime. Don’t choose their intent for them. The ability to sharped a weapon properly show a level of skill…this denotes compassion. Many dull blades have killed…so there is no argument there. I have removed the edge on this weapon with a carbide dremel. I re tempered the steel and quenched it in pb blaster. I also injected black silicone instant gasket from the 99 cent store into the scabbard, filling the cavity completely and utterly. Inserted the hot blade into the scarab and put it in the freezer bound overnight. With the blade and scarab properly wedded, the design is complete. Great item…i love it!

The Wakizashi is similar to the katana but shorter in length. The average Wakizashi is about 50 cm long and was usually worn together with the katana by the Samurai of feudal Japan. When worn together the pair of swords was called Daish, which translates to large and small. This sword acted like a side weapon and was worn by the Samurai at all times.
