This is a review from a third person from 5 states away. I bought this for my son's 14th birthday as me and my kids love weapons ( go figure children of a US Marine loving weapons). It arrived early and he was overjoyed with the katana. We both thought it was going to be flimsy,cheap, and dull replica. Boy where we ever wrong. Even his mom a knife collector was jealous and reminded me of her birthday. Would definitely buy another my next debate is whether or not to buy him the samurai armor for Halloween.

Lovely sword, I'd give 4.9 stars if I could. Fast shipping for the long way to Germany (it came somehow from Malaysia!?). Only bad point, it came with a few scratches on the blade. But I like it way too much to send it back and when training a lot, more will probably follow anyway... The workmanship is not quite perfect, there are a few edges between metall and wood at the hilt, but it lies good in hand. Good balance point also. The value-for-money ratio is totally good. I'm pretty sure I have the most beautiful Taiji-sword in the world! Thanks!
