“Knowledge is a weapon. I intend to be formidably armed.” ― Terry Goodkind

Who owns Aragorn's sword?

Aragorn's sword, known as Andúril or the Flame of the West, plays a significant role in J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy series, "The Lord of the Rings." Andúril is initially reforged from the shards of the sword Narsil by the elf-smiths of Rivendell and then given to Aragorn, the rightful heir to the throne of Gondor. As the story progresses, Aragorn wields Andúril as his primary weapon.

In the fictional world of Middle-earth, Aragorn is the rightful owner and bearer of Andúril. After Aragorn's death, the sword passes to his descendants and remains a symbol of the lineage of the Kings of Gondor. It is considered a powerful symbol of kingship and hope in the fight against the forces of darkness.

In terms of ownership outside of the fictional context, Andúril exists solely as a creation of J.R.R. Tolkien's imagination. As such, there is no real-world ownership of the physical Andúril sword. However, various replicas and collectible versions of Andúril have been produced for fans and collectors of "The Lord of the Rings" series.
