“Knowledge is a weapon. I intend to be formidably armed.” ― Terry Goodkind

Can a wooden sword be sharp?

A wooden sword is typically not sharp in the same way as a metal sword. Wood is not naturally sharp and does not have the same capacity for honing an edge like metal does. However, it's possible to shape the edge of a wooden sword to give it a more defined profile, which can create a blunted or tapered edge. This blunted edge can still deliver an impact and simulate the cutting or striking actions of a real sword during training or practice sessions.

It's important to note that even if a wooden sword has a shaped edge, it should never be as sharp or as dangerous as a real metal sword. The intention of a wooden sword is to provide a safer training tool while minimizing the risk of serious injury during practice sessions.
