Who wields Kusanagi-no-tsurugi?

According to Japanese mythology and folklore, the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, also known as the Kusanagi Sword, was originally discovered and wielded by the storm god Susanoo. Susanoo is a prominent deity in Shinto mythology and is known for his feats and adventures.

In mythology, Susanoo obtained the Kusanagi Sword after slaying the eight-headed serpent or dragon named Yamata no Orochi. The sword was found within the serpent's tail, and Susanoo claimed it as his own.

After Susanoo's possession, the Kusanagi Sword was eventually passed down through generations. According to legend, it became one of the three sacred treasures of Japan, associated with the imperial family and serving as a symbol of power and legitimacy.

While the Kusanagi Sword's ownership and history are rooted in mythology, its significance continues to be part of Japanese cultural heritage and the imperial regalia of Japan.
