Its a wonderfully crafted sword however. The blade is rather orange and not quite red. That's the only reason I give it four. If the blade looked like it does in the picture on the site. Easy five stars. Expert craftsman ship. Still will more than likely purchase another sword from this site.

The care and craft that went into making the Katana is noted. The tsuka had all the parts. The real beauty was in the details, from the kashira fuchi and tsuba seemingly casted instead of hand tooled. Most people would not know that, because the casting was done very very well. I really enjoy the cherry blossom motif throughout these three parts as well The Ito wrap was done well.
I like that the blade has a hi, I can hear it cut through the air when I swing it. My only complaint is that I didn't get a blade tempered by differential hardening as there is no hamon.
Overall the sword is quite nice as a display piece. for the price, I would recommend your swords in the future.

Love it!! Beautiful design, you can tell right away that this is not just some boring display piece but a true work of art. The blade is very sharp and has a good weight to it. Shipping didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would. All around great purchase.
