This Katana for the money it is an outstanding purchase!!! I will be ordering the stand and the other TWO sizes ??? to complete the set . Compared to the other Katana I ordered from China their work is very POOR QUAILTY!!!!! I am very proud of the Sword and show it to all my friends. Sword looks good, nice and clean. Super fast delivery too.
The sword itself is amazing, and the sheath is even better with the burned wood effect, however the sheath itself slides off the blade very easily, making it unable to be picked up without the risk of the sheath sliding right off. Overall however i am satisifed.

Katana rattles when in the Saya. Katana also comes out of the Saya far too easily.

I usually don't leave reviews on online purchases. I do want to express my impression on the katana sword from truekatana.com. I have been a martial artist since 1968. Although I practiced Kendo for some years, I have not owned a Japanese sword since 1977. I am so impressed with the quality of workmanship on the sword I purchased. A lot of work was put in to making this sword of such superior quality. I'm certain that thete are better made swords at this website but the sword I purchased more than suffices my need for occasional practice. I highly recommend this website for anyone looking to purchase a quality made sword.
Shipping is quick and quality is better than I expected. But the import tax is killing me as I am living in Canada, basically paying 1/3 the price of the sword just the tax.

Came in faster than I had expected and Arrived well packaged in styrofoam. Blade is very sharp and looks well made. The saya design looks even better in person! Looking forward to trying this out on a tatami mat.
The blade itself is very beautiful as is the Saya. The hand wrapping is well done and everything feels premium.
The only issue is actually a big one. The Saya is not fitted correctly to the blade. It takes a lot and I mean a lot of strength to unsheath this sword. Which in battle would likely get you killed. Thankfully it's not for battle. But at $200 plus dollars I expected better craftsmanship for the Saya.
