The blade wasn't evenly as sharp or polished as I would like it to be and had a few high spots, but after sharpening/honing and polishing I was able to get it to the sharpness I wanted. The scabbard came loose after 2-3 times pulling the blade out and leaves wood chips behind. I would have to clean the blade every pull, but is becoming less of a clean up after a while.
