I read a few reviews online and debated about ordering, but I am glad I did. For the money, I was very impressed with the overall quality. The blade was ground quite well with a beautiful hamon pattern, the saya (case) fit snugly, and the ito (handle) was wrapped tightly and uniform. Overall, it’s a very nice sword for $300. It will look amazing on display.

It came greased looks very nice, wooden scabbard, steel seems pretty nice, I know he’ll love it.

Thank You TrueKatana for my very first Katana ever! Absolutely beautiful! I ordered this on 2/15/2021 and received it on 3/5/2021. This was not only a holiday for the U.S. , but also the starting week of Chinese New Year and I still received my sword in less than three weeks. I am not any kind of practitioner or expert in any way, but from all the videos and forums I could find about what makes a truly good Katana, this one checks all the boxes. Entire sword fitment is very tight.
Tightly wrapped cotton Ito, diamond pattern aligned, tight fitted kashira and fuchi.
Mid grade Tsuba ( I'm guessing brass by the thickness and edge color, but can't find a description besides alloy )
Habaki has smooth transition to the blade, and a very nice subtle hamon pattern. The only thing I could possibly say negative would be the Saya let's the sword slap around inside, but for under $300 what do I know? Now I just have to work up the nerve to cut with it!!! I will definitely be buying from this site again!

Very nice sword for the money.
I would've liked a cleaner finish on the scabbard. Few rough spots on polyurethane finish. Needed heat,with a fine cloth, applied to it to smooth the very well balanced.

This is my first Sword ever I do have a couple of knifes. I just love my sword who I have named Kasai. Kasai came in a very good condition. He was very sharp and had lots of choji oil on the blade. The only problem with it is the sheath a Katana has to be worn on the left side to be withdrawn with the right hand in my option and when I place Kasai on my left side the Sheath is flipped not revealing the design on it . I have used it on a couple of things and it is still intacted

It's a solid blade that cuts well enough. I'll warn that while the tsuka-baki looks off-white in the photo it's actual more of a wheat color. I'm still very satisfied with my purchase
