You get what you pay for. It’s a $70 tanto, certainly sharp and cool, but straight out of the packaging with messed up leather under the wrapping and the leather looks like white styrofoam.

I got my handmade short sword in just a few days as the TrueKatana people promised. It was not the most expensive sword but the quality was VERY good and it was exactly what i wanted. I have a pretty good collection of very expensive knives and the quality of this little baby stands right with the others. I can tell by the quality of this smaller sword that I will be back to purchase a more expensive sword in the near future. The set shows incredible hand crafted accuracy when comparing them to each other and are as beautiful as twins can be.
I named the sub hand Tonto Anota meaning to me the soul or imminent one and named the main hand Tonto Samahdi meaning to me no self or free of the illusion!

I would give 5 stars but I specifically emailed them to see what they had in stock bc I didn't want to wait weeks for one from China if possible bc most of theirs are shipped from China.
So oddly enough the person replied and said the only one they had in the warehouse in California was the exact Tanto blade I wanted, so I ordered it the next day bc of it being in country but lo and behold it came from China.
Coincidence maybe someone bought all those specific tantos or something but the actual piece is really nice: made well, weighty and appearance is very nice. I would buy again.

The saya (sheath/scabbard) was chipped and eventually broke but the sword isn’t a bad sword. Packaging is the main issue with the product.
