Here's my honest opinion about this tanto.
If i'm not mistaking myself the describtion said "razor sharp". I don't know if that was typo because this was not close to that sharpness at all.
I'm 51 years old and I know a thing or two about sharpening blades., so this i can fix myself easily.
The fitting between the habaki and saya is under all criticism. It was so poorly made that if you tilted it the knife fell out. NOT very safe. Again this i fixed.
This was definately not made by an experienced craftman.
If i were you i had contacted whoever you choosen in China to sharpen up, or searched for another blackdmith
After all, this has to do with your reputation. I don't blame True katana. I blame the amateur that made my tanto.

Because as far buying it and shipping A So this is my first sword and seen great reviews on it and figured I spend more money get better sword then the $150 ones well on the scabbard their is run in the paint which not big deal but I was expecting super sharp blade. Well it somewhat sharp dosent spice through paper you have to really force it to cut the paper and it starts to tear it more. Also I found a nick in the blade. If this the quality of the $300 sword I will probably be really disappointed in the $150 ones but I’m going to order one of those and see the quality difference.

My son has wanted a katana his whole life. Of course I wouldn't buy a child a real katana so he was stuck with plastic replicas. It is very beautiful and very sharp! It arrived almost a week earlier than expected which was nice, but I will say that the packaging leaves a lot to be desired. It was just in a VERY thin box (think cereal box) that was wrapped in a thin plastic sleeve, with no actual padding or anything to keep it from being damaged. Luckily this one was not damaged but for the price you're paying I'd expect much better packaging.

Not bad. I see some blemishes and scuffs in the blade which is a little disappointing. The hilt itself isn’t bad. It’s sturdy and holds the blade very well when swinging it around I feel no swivel or wobble to the blade. I did notice where the hilt and blade meet the black metal piece that almost looks like a swastika, it’s bent and dis formed a bit. Nothing to bad but noticeable never the less. Overall a good blade. I’d say 7/10 for the price It is very fair and the quality is exactly what you are paying for. It’s not no multi thousand dollar sword like a hanzo sword but still very nice and I have it hung up now with y’all’s katana rack. Very nice piece to the start off my collection.
