The Nodachi was mostly utilized on the battlefield, and due to its enormous length was very efficient and deadly. The Nodachi was carried by foot soldiers to block cavalry charges. It also treats as a ceremonial offering for Japanese patron gods. To qualify as Nodachi, the blade length must be above 35 inches, our 1060 carbon steel Nodachi features 47 inches blade length, while our 9260 Spring steel Nodachi blade maximum length is 39 inches.
Sword’s a beauty. The scabbard feels a bit delicate towards the tail end though.

Had a slight tweak to it either from shipping or during the quenching process but very decent edge doesn't affect the cutting performance much hard to notice unless you point out the bend but its $230 so cant compalin to much it functions and holds strong

It was very nice, and very sharp as stated in the in the details. My only problem was the gold cap at the end of the sheath was not properly secured and popped right off. It wasn't a big deal because I was able to fix it myself, but you would hope when you are spending 100s of dollars on these that they would take the time to properly do everything. Besides that though, it truly was a nice buy.

I am very pleased with the quality and the price and I cannot wait to get my hands on one of the battle ready katanas. The only thing and it’s not even worth docking a star over is I would love at least the option to pay for a razor sharp polish on it. Also you guys should make some swords modeled after weapons of the SoulsBorne video game series and I will buy all of them. Black Blade Katana from Dark Souls 3 is a good place to start :)

The product is good however it had a strange musty smell. When you put the katana in the case sometimes it doesn't fit properly.

Beautiful and very well made sword. I was surprised at the quality despite all the great reviews.
It might take a while to get to you as it's handmade. I'm in the uk and it got to England from China in 36 hrs, unfortunately due to brexit delays it took another week to get to me.
Well worth the wait though.

Great quality. Only complaint is the carrying handle on the scabbard was adhered with glue that broke loose immediately. I re-glued it with wood glue an it's fine now.
