The wakizashi that I received was absolutely gorgeous! The blade, handle, scabbard, and every detail was second to none…oh and it’s sharp as heck too, so don’t go fooling around or you’ll be admiring one of these beautiful weapons from the emergency room. I purchased a full tang battle ready Damascus katana for myself. My selection is a simple design at nearly a thousand US dollars. That level of investment was based one two factors, positive rati gs of prior purchasers and my experience while living in Japan as a child. After several days of running the sword I bought two wazikaski and a tachi for my son and daughter (respectively) as heirloom items for them to pass onto future generations. r
All four are well build instruments. I am very happy to have found True Katana...and will likely buy more because of the craftsmanship (but do not expect to ever need another based of quality and performance of my initial purchase).

Ordered this wakizashi. It arrived in about two weeks, looking identical to the way it looked on the website. Appears to be a quality item. It is nicely balanced, sharp, nice weight for single handed use ... overall, it makes me want to go find something in the yard that needs a ceremonial chopping. I'm upbeat that i'll probably still have all my digits at the end of this year.
Oh, and the fittings are genuine and look awesome.

The wakazoshi seems pretty well made. Blade is incredibly sharp and aesthetically it is a beautiful piece. I have 2 grips with it. 1. The Kashira is loose already. Which means if it’s used as intended the tsuka ito will become loose and unwrap. 2. I wish they offered a real ray or shark skin Ho cover. Other than that for the price it is perfect. That is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. For most this would be perfect for display.

Great wakizashi for the price. There a few quality issues, Ito wrap is a little loose and diamonds are misshapen. Fuchi is a little loose as well. Beautiful and blade and saya. Overall happy with this purchase.

Hardware and blade are beautiful. Only complaint is wrap on the grip is very loose and substandard poorly done. Aside from that I love it. Quality control department needs to watch for simple details like that. Hence the 4 star rating. I guess I expected better and no sword bag. Disappointed.
