The sheath is very loose and slips off if I put it upside down so it’s a little dangerous to use can easily fall out of the sheath

The blade is very sharp. The handle and the guard Are tight. The wrap is well done. The sword fits tight in the scabbard. Overall, in happy with the quality.

You get what you pay for. It’s a $70 tanto, certainly sharp and cool, but straight out of the packaging with messed up leather under the wrapping and the leather looks like white styrofoam.

The Shirasaya Tanto TK-JZ-KT-L190016 shortsword appears to be well made and of good quality. I will put a final edge on the blade and polish up the brass fittings to bring it to it ‘s full potential . I am very satisfied.

Really love it, one thing compared to the other swords I've gotten, the sheath doesn't really hold the tonta and will slide off sometimes especially compared to the katana I've gotten which will hold and stay no matter what

Hate to give such a low star but, in the description it said sharpened edge and it was far from it... It has a very nice feel in the hand and has a very attractive blade. Both the Sageo and the tsuka are very nicely finished and fit well together. I understand for the price point it will not be perfect but if it says sharpened edge in the description the edge should be sharpened.

I'm an early Iaido student 2nd year and I wanted a small tanto to complement the shinken.
I didn't want something too big like a Wakizashi but for a tanto it's on the longer side.
Depending on your hand size this is a single handed tsuka.
For really small hands you might be able to get both hands around the tsuka.
I like the red and black tint on the tsuka that's what attracted me.
It looks great and I feel like the craftsmenship on this blade is worth more than it's value.
Note: blade seemed to come in dry no choji oil appeared to be on the blade. So check to make sure.

I’m not sure how sharp this is on the side, but the tip is very sharp. I think it’s a fun item to have around the house; even tho it’s small it’s still a little too big to be carrying around anywhere lol
