Love it! It’s as close to a true Shirasaya as you could find for 250$. Gorgeous blade. It came well oiled and sharp enough to cut, yet not so sharp as to be flimsy and bend under impact. It will be perfect to practice my forms and slice objects out of the air when thrown at me by my friends. Thanks TrueKatana!

is glued in to handle( not traditional) all pressed in wood to a very nice finish.
but also it doesn’t really stay in it’s scabbard without a tiny bit of cotton to make sure it’s friction fit is secured.
but over all its very very nice just a few small details and fixes but honestly it’s a personal thing and it’s easily fixed and worth doing for the price of the blade it self

I like this one very much. It's solid and has a good weight. It's very well made.
The catalog photo makes it appear more red than it is; it's actually a lighter shade of brown. Admittedly, that detracts slightly from its visual intrigue, but doesn't hurt its functionality in the slightest. It's unquestionably ready to open someone and it's still pretty.
Well packaged and promptly shipped.
No regrets.
