The shipping was fast- I believe it was at my door 5 days from when I placed the order.
As for the katana, the Saya is plastic and the blade is aluminum, making it extremely light weight and easy to wield. I've only had it for a day and done some basic drawing/drills with it. Admittedly I am concerned about how it will hold up to even light contact, so time will tell.
For now I am happy with it, but the price does seem high for a practice weapon (based on the plethora of "sharp" edged, and probably poor quality, weapons I could have gotten for a fraction of the price). If I can get a couple years of use out of it, I'd say it was worth it.

The ordering process and the shipping were quick, and while the katana is nicely weighted, I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed in the quality of the piece. It doesn't slide easily out of the Saya and there are rough, somewhat unfinished edges on the Tsuba. As a secondary training sword, it'll be fine, I guess.

This is a quality training tool that has given me the confidence to properly execute basic sword strikes, unsheathing and re-sheathing techniques, and ultimately appreciate the art itself! This is a more expensive dull/practice katana than a lot of products out on the market, but totally worth it. Very solid build with great balance. A really excellent practice blade which closely resembles a katana. I have no concerns about really working out with this blade (have heard too many bad stories about poorly built practice katanas flying apart). Plus, the crazy fun pattern just makes me smile.

overall experience:
website is easy to use, has an extremely wide selection, and explanations for different product types. i was a bit skeptical of the advertisements and customer reviews, but TrueKatana is legit. every sword they advertise is exactly how it appears when delivered; these swords are great for cosplay and iaido/iaijustu.
for sharp, “battle-ready” swords, they are reviewed to not be the sharpest or most effective for regular sharp use. however you’re better off spending more for a better piece that will last longer because TrueKatana is more for display anyways
my personal order: i ordered an aluminum non-sharp katana for practice and display; it’s a solid piece that is assembled with nice quality. would order again if ever interested in a second one. i was able to track my order as well all throughout the process
TL;DR: very honest advertisement for nice blades at reasonable prices. you get what you order. but don’t expect an amazing cutting/sharp sword; spend more money on a better sword for those purposes

Very well built, very easy to use for Iaido. The only thing I was surprised on was that the Habaki had a lot of wear on it which was strange for a new item but it doesn’t affect the use of the sword in any way.
