The wakizashi that I received was absolutely gorgeous! Tanto was beautiful. Finishing was a little rough, I’ve seen the same fittings on other tanto’s, and the blade was loose in the Saya, I glued a small shim on the bottom of the opening, problem solved, but the quality is on the high side of good. Remember this is a 79.00 blade, Quality control in not at its finest. That being said, I enjoy the purchase and would buy another one if the need arises. Aesthetically it is a beautiful blade and makes for a good display piece. Its size might surprise you, the blade is over 12 inches long. I am overall Satisfied with the purchase.

The quality is immediately noticed when you take it out of the box - glossy saya with quality braided sageo . The blade handle sports a stiff sami and tight enough ito. This blade is of the construction Kamasu-Kissaki (straight edged tip), but TrueKatana do not explain this. That blade style is the reason why I purchased it, which is rare to find on the internet. I named it Zyro. I enjoy taking its tempered blade under the sun, showing its very unique Noi pattern.

Well, I ordered this beautiful Wakizashi together with a expensive Katana for my dad, and the 2 Swords arrives today. r
About this brown Wakizashi: As it was stated to have a 26cm Tsuka, and as seen on the website to have a Bohi on the Blade... I ordered it. All in all, the Wakizashi has been looking awesome in pictures.r

Today it arrived, and unfortunately, the Tsuka was only 21cm long, and the Blade didn't have a Bohi (Blood Groove).r

I ordered from Austria, I had to wait quite some time and was very unsatisfied with the short Tsuka and Blade without the Bohi. Yet, I was very surprised, by how kind, service-orientated and extra-ordinary-professional these guys handled it.r

The swords looks awesome, but still, I was dissatisfied, so they offered me some ammount of refund which honestly, arrived a couple of hours ago. I am quite happy with this solution and still, the Swords are pretty decent, feel like quality-items and the team handled this very fast. The Katana is absolute awesome... so thank you a lot !

I purchased a full tang battle ready Damascus katana for myself. My selection is a simple design at nearly a thousand US dollars. That level of investment was based one two factors, positive rati gs of prior purchasers and my experience while living in Japan as a child. After several days of running the sword I bought two wazikaski and a tachi for my son and daughter (respectively) as heirloom items for them to pass onto future generations. r
All four are well build instruments. I am very happy to have found True Katana...and will likely buy more because of the craftsmanship (but do not expect to ever need another based of quality and performance of my initial purchase).
